Nintendo Switch continues to dominate in the United States, where it figures as the console that most units sold a July.
Switch is the best-selling console in 2022 in the United States, either in units sold or money raised, but in July the console that registered the most money was the PS5.
At a time when the entire industry is enjoying great success, over $4.6 billion was spent on consoles, games, accessories and digital content during July. Of that total, more than $323 million was spent buying consoles.
In the list of best-selling games, revealed by NPD, Zelda: Skyward Sword HD for Switch is the best-selling game and it only needed physical sales to get it. Monster Hunter Stories 2 took 3rd place but Capcom has plenty to smile about as first month sales are already triple what the original has sold on the 3DS all its life.
NPD also singles out MLB: The Show 21 as the second best-selling game of the year, behind Black Ops Cold War, which became the best-selling game in the Sony series.
